TSiBA trail runs have today concluded an agreement with Live Time to manage the timing at all of its future trail runs. Live Time will utilise their Silicone Wristbands to time the various trail runs.
The wristbands have been proven to be very robust and can withstand harsh environments. The wristband is completely waterproof and is used at triathlons, long-distance swimming, mountain biking and adventure events nationwide.
Wristbands will be sold for R50 at numerous events, and you can order it online when you enter for our next run at Bloemendal on 5 September, http://bit.ly/1R8QhPC
The common misconception is that the tag is only used for timing purposes, but the most important aspect of the wristband is the medical function. The participant’s medical details and emergency contact person is stored on the chip, so if there are any injuries on the day of the event the medical team can scan the tag with their Android device and get access to the information on track. If you already have a chip from a Warrior Race, Impi Challenge (Gauteng & Western Cape), Amoiji Events (Western Cape), Run the Vines (Western Cape) or Wagon Trail Night Runs (Western Cape) you need NOT get another one.
We are very excited about this new development and how it shifts the TSiBA trail runs up another gear.
