THE SEASON OF SAUVIGNON IS HAPPENING AT DURBANVILLE HILLS
When summer gets into the swing of things, you know it’s time to head to Durbanville Hills for the Durbanville Wine Valley’s Season of Sauvignon. On Saturday, 24 October, and Sunday, 25 October, you can celebrate this delicious grape variety, which excels under the unique terroir of the Durbanville area, by tasting the best wines produced in the valley.
These two days at Durbanville Hills offer some fun-filled activities for the kids as well as a fine food and craft market, and wine tastings which include Durbanville Hills’ recently released Sauvignon blancs. Whilst the live music keeps you company you can stretch out on the lawn in the shade of the olive grove.
The restaurant will be open for breakfast and during lunch they will be serving a Sauvignon blanc inspired menu. Bookings are essential.
You don’t even need to rush home in a hurry as the rugby semi-finals will be screened in the barrel cellar daily.
Date: 24 and 25 October
Time: 09.00 to 17.00
Cost of festival: R70 per person and includes a crystal wine glass, tasting of Sauvignon blancs from Durbanville Hills and other producers in the valley.
If you enter either of the TSiBA trails run on Saturday 24 October, you’ll pay only R 55 for your crystal glass and 8 tastings.
